ASRock came to Newegg’s Gamer Zone in Diamond Bar on April 14 with the broadest Z890 lineup we’ve put on a single floor: four new motherboards from the returning Taichi and Nova families, as well as the Phantom Gaming display lineup, AIO coolers, PSUs, and ASRock’s Intel Arc B580 graphics cards. In addition, Intel brought the silicon with the Arrow Lake Refresh, top to bottom. Twelve creators showed up to push it all in a Counter-Strike 2 match.
Four New ASRock Z890 Boards
The headline of the lineup was four new motherboards getting some of their earliest public hands-on time:
- Z890 Taichi AQUA: the white-themed, fully water-cooled flagship of the Taichi family
- Z890 Taichi OCF: built for overclockers
- Z890 Lightning WiFi: a new mid-tier addition to the Z890 lineup
- Z890M Riptide WiFi: the new Micro-ATX option for compact builds
Returning Z890 favorites also got demo time: the Z890 Taichi, Z890 Nova WiFi, Z890 Steel Legend WiFi, and the Z890 Pro RS WiFi in white and black.
More Than Motherboards
ASRock brought the full stack. Builds across the floor ran ASRock’s Intel Arc B580 GPUs in Steel Legend and Challenger trims, ASRock’s AIO cooler lineup, which included the new Phantom Gaming 360 LCD that anchored the Showcase build, ASRock PSUs from the SL and PRO series, and a wall of Phantom Gaming monitors spanning the PG and TCO display families.
If you’re piecing together a Z890 build, the showcase floor was a one-stop look at how the ecosystem holds together end-to-end.
Powered by Intel Arrow Lake Refresh
Every build on the floor ran Intel’s latest desktop chips – Core Ultra 5 250K Plus on the entry and mid-tier configurations, and the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus on the high-tier and showcase builds. Arrow Lake Refresh paired with the new Z890 boards is the configuration ASRock and Intel are putting forward for builders right now, and the demo floor made the case in real hardware.
The Creator CS2 Tournament
Twelve creators took the demo systems for the afternoon’s Counter-Strike 2 matches, playing on the same Arrow Lake Refresh + Arc B580 builds that lined the floor:
Snaxan · RichhomieQuinn · Tech With Seong · Hall of Tech · Salad Pictures · Raptech · Xen Toxic Blonde · GeekHeavy · mavriqgg · zestytrip · Funky Kit · Think Computers
Build the Rig
Everything ASRock and Intel brought to the Gamer Zone: the new Z890 boards, the GPUs, the AIOs, the PSUs, the Phantom Gaming displays, and the Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs powering all of it, were featured in the ASRock x Intel Event Store on Newegg.
